Dave Edlund gives a close-up look at the home run "splash hit" ball hit by Ryan Klesko of the San Francisco Giants on May 21,2007. It was the 43rd Splash hit ever. The pitcher was Trever Miller of the Houston Astros. This was Ryan's 273rd career HR and his 1,494th ML hit. The Gaints won the game 4-0.

Do you save the Splash Hits or do you make money off of them? I guess getting these balls is an interesting way to get on T.V. haha.

The McCovey Cove regulars are big baseball buffs and enjoy the scenery & excitment of being in the Cove. The Cove regulars called Bonds Navy will spend hours just chasing down batting practice balls. No one expects and I certainly don't of making any money. Most Splash hits are in the personal collections of the folks who have grabbed them. I made this video so I would not confuse it with dozens of other balls I have around the house.
