Various idle and warm up footage

It dosn't like going below a few hundred RPM, but with more flywheel mass it would

  • @KrankieV2 it did come up after a while but I did have to oil it with a can before startup.

    rings are on order now tho, so I should have it back together soon.

  • @mctim64 cool!, I think this engine saw use in many BMC cars including the Sprite, Mini, Morris1100, an d your MG

  • Loveley little a series, sounds better than when they were in the moriss 1100!

  • its a pretty beat-up old motor, but I was surprised how ballsey it sounds with a short pipe on it!

  • h, the coil is running straight off the battery, but without the generator or an alternator, the battery eventually dies. but I use a charger on it when it gets too low.

    I can't use that Lucas generator without its regulator anyway. so I'm fitting a modern alternator.

  • interesting,dont you need the belt to drive the altenater so the spark plugs would work?
