Improvisation on a fretless electric guitar made from Warmoth and other parts. Fingerboard is pau ferro coated with polyurethane (not strictly necessary though).

  • what effect are you using bro? it sounds totally awesome

  • @wbwillie - thanks, but I don't think there was any effect on this. Maybe a little delay but that's it. The sound is from the fretless pau ferro fingerboard.

  • @rpguitar did the fingerboard come from warmoth?

  • @wbwillie - yes, this is a normal mahog neck with a pau ferro board that I used for 10 years and then defretted. I left the fret slots empty, sanded it smooth, and coated it with clear polyurethane.

  • Is that a Paul Reed Smith fretless?? I could be totally wrong, but the headstock and body shape look like a PRS.. minus the bridge, and what-not.

  • Heavens no it's not a real PRS, but it's a "VIP" body from Warmoth, which indeed is meant to copy the PRS shape. The headstock, though, is Warmoth's own design.
