Best Buy could really help tech this room out. Since I didn't exactly have access to my dorm room, I decided to build an approximate model of my room for illustration.

In reality, my dorm is slightly smaller, I do not have a laptop computer, and I didn't bother taking my TV to school- I thought it would probably jeopardize any and all credibility I had as a filmmaker.

The purpose of the video is to suggest how much improved my dorm room and movie-making process could be with the addition of new equipment and a tangible budget.

In case you were left wondering as to what I want to get, I've compiled an ultimate tech wish list

-HD Camera (s)
-digital still camera
-Notebook computer (optimized for editing)
-Powerful Desktop PC (optimized for editing)
-1080p 46" HD Plasma display
-PS3 (largely to play blu-ray discs)
-Movies
-Hovercraft
-Surround Sound System
-2 TB of external hard drives
-Various software applications
-Lightsabers (preferably w/ Adegan crystals)
-PC Power supply back-up

As stated throughout the video, however, the whole point of pursuing a dorm room STUDIO configuration is to pursue filmmaking endeavors, and that, ultimately, is what I'm going to do.

Vote for me... and I'll make more movies- stronger, faster, better, more teched out.

^-^

Thank you viewers, and thank you, Best Buy.

  • Also, I really appreciate the support of my friends and family, and thank everyone who has left helpful feedback or rated, regardless of the rating. Good luck to all.

  • I'd hoped I'd be commenting on my video under happier circumstances, but I'd like to address some issues below. First, several of the people involved in the production of my video- they can be seen in the video- did not have youtube accounts, and probably made accounts AFTER the video was uploaded in order to rate and comment on this video. Secondly, my video hasn't had much opportunity for people to "spam" it with low ratings because it was just uploaded recently.
