Man i can't listen to these without filling with sadness

Whats the most mind boggling listening to this is that the time (almost 30 years !!) SINCE seems to have flown by, as i can remember it clearly like it was yesterday or last week & i had just turned 18 but when they speak about 'Saturday club' U.K. radio show circa 1963 & it was ONLY 17 YEARS before this but something that may as well have been a 100 years earlier for me as the first 18 years of my life seemed an eternity ! Stange that isnt it ?

After completing this interview Andy Peebles flew back to England with the tapes. When he got off the plane, he was told that John had died. I remember the next day they played clips of this and other interviews & tracks on BBC Radio one. I still have a tape of that show.

I taped this off of the radio onto cassettes in 1981 but don't have a cassette player now. LOVED hearing it again. BY FAR the best interview with John&Yoko (maybe Dick Cavett's but that was mid 70's). Andy Peebles IS THE MAN!

I taped this interview on Radio One when it was first aired!....Peebles did this interview just a few days before John was shot dead......I lost the tapes and I will never forgive myself for it!.....Thanks for the post!

That goes against everything Lennon stood for.
Remember waking up to hear ANDY PEEBLES
and all Beatles songs being played before thye shock
news of John Lennons death when I lived in UK.
Worse was I walked to my griend Glenns house and woke him
to tell him as he was THE biggest Lennon fan.
A very sad day.
Went to Dakota and took pics in 2007 the security guard was so young and
wouldnt let me close to the court yard.(He wasnt even born when Lennon died).

@jocksmen
Before John was killed they used to let you go up to the gate and under the archway to pose for pictures, but nowadays they try to get you as far away as possible, in some cases as far as across the street. The security is not very nice, but it's understandable.
