But sadly the actions of both contemporary Muslims and Mormons show what is within their hearts is contrary to their own doctrine. They think that they can somehow impress the Almighty with their works and essentially buy a golden ticket. Hence the rigid adherence to endless checklists of rules and tactics, halal and haram. These tendencies kill the Holy Spirit of God which is meant to have its most beautiful manifestation through man and womankind.

@trappedhere2 Well which is which? Because the truth is I see little difference between those who call themselves orthodox within either religion. Both doctrines teach that we are not profitable servants and can never actually obtain that, but that the mercy of God is what grants us rest in a glorious heaven.

@1manzi0n ...I would like to point out 1 simple , but overwhelming , difference between these 2 religions. One believes they can get to the kingdoms of heaven by their own works, while the other believes that divine salvation of the messiah will cause them and their works to be acceptable and will gain them entrance into heaven. Am i correct about this?

I'm just not sure what anyone is talking about here?
What is the point? I really am confused.

What exactly has you so confused?

So true...I try to tell my Mormon brothers and sisters that there is no other religion that is closer doctrinal terms but they are too blind to see it. There are also several other points of unity not even covered in this video...Imagine what a force for good to bind the evil enemy and cast him into the bottomless pit a true spirit of alliance between Mormons and Muslims would bring about! I am LDS but I sincerely hope for a true comming together of both faiths. Inshallah!
