Buick and Jaguar are the top brands in J.D. Power's VDS. Fiat is coming out with a two-cylinder engine. Chrysler is thinking of paying executive bonuses. All that and more, plus some of John’s thoughts about driving the Ford Fusion hybrid.
You're not tricking the system. FFH was designed use the engine to accel and then cruise in EV mode. The engine runs most efficiently under moderate loads (like on accel's) and inefficiently under light loads (like cruising at 40-45mph). It'll only run the engine when it's most efficient to do so. When it kicks in while cruising, it's also charging the battery, but it can only do that so long, until the battery becomes full, then it shuts down for more EV . Stop trying so hard and just drive it.
you don't plug in a ford fusion.
