Bruce Greenwood is known for playing dashing authority figures such as President Kennedy in "13 Days," the president in "National Treasure II," surfing dynasty patriarch Mitch Yost in "John From Cincinnati," and now Captain Christopher Pike in the new Star Trek movie. Here he talks with Karen Dawn about his love of animals and ribs her about her book, "Thanking the Monkey: Rethinking the Way We Treat Animals."

  • Yes, he is all that! Thanks for your sweet comments. And stay tuned for Bruce in The River, ABC's replacement for "Lost," which is filming this year: I was trying to post a link to the trailer but youtube won't let me, but if you put "The River ABC Network" in the youtube search engine it comes up.

  • @iSwayzak He is : )

  • He'd better be vegetarian, otherwise his words have no meaning to me.

  • He was brilliant in the NOWHERE MAN show.

  • It's OK, I will say the name of the book for you......

It's called Thanking the Monkey. Run don't walk everyone to your nearest book store and pick up your copy today.

    Excellent endorsement!

BTW, although it was quite bizarre I really enjoyed John From Cincinnati, but that's besides the point.... :-)
