2009 Civic Si Idler Pulley noise

This is my 2009 Civic Si, it started making this noise at 4700 miles. These Hondas aren't as well made as they used to be. Pay 20k for a Civic and this is the result. Thanks, Honda.

I had mine replaced at 55k miles....and again under warranty after 9k miles when the new one started making that same gravel sounding noise. I eventually just gave up on having it replaced every 5-10k miles

its the compression of the engine is higher cams and injectors all at the same time making noise yeah its annoying but its not a ex civic its an SI honda has deff changed its ways even i am not to happy i have an 09 si and the noise u hear at the idler pully if u pinch the little hose by the intake manifold and the water jacket the noise will stop the PVC valve and relase everyone is replacing the pullys its not the pully is the valve go to honda and get a new one and it should quiet down

@CHRISBANACHC what? your saying the si idles higher because it has vtec? vtec has absolutely nothing to do with that, the Si idles at 800rpm along with the majority of 4 cylinders..

I have an 09 si, they all make that idle noise because of the higher idle, due to the vtec

my car making the same exact noise..makes me think that there is something wrong inside the engine..
