Fastest 1/4mi in '69! Available options for the AMX in 1969 included 390cid stroker AMC (with 390 forged crank was standard, on 343 optional), Doug Thorley Headers, Edelbrock 2x4bbl cross ram lowrise intake, 4speed trans, (727auto came standard), 5.11 posi (AMC20 bulletproof rearend), Go Pac (first {optional} traction control system, positions axle with rudimentory 4 link).
My 69AMX 390auto awaits restoration, also am seeking 390block.
AMC's. Really cool! Also own 2 Eagles with 4wd!

somebody ! please show a 1968 Javelin SST 390 in bittersweet orange with the twin black side stripes and black vinyl top. Also the twin black raised hood scoops. I got the pleasure of riding in just that same car in 68 when I was 15
