xtina's version, even though it has been covered only life, is way much better than this....first she's got a connection since young with this song and that reflects on her emotive performance, and no she doesn't try hard (but i admit she has tried HARD ON OTHER SONGS), when it comes to blues it can sound like overacted, but it is not....it is blues people!!!! beyonce does it well.....but i wanna see her live....that will b boring

etta can not be touched on this song. Personally the version beyonce did of all i could do was cry was my favorite over the two, alot more melodic.
