The thrice-weekly BNSF Brainerd Local goes street running down the middle of First Avenue Northeast in Brainerd, Minnesota. At the end of this spur off of the main line is a paper mill owned by Wausau Paper.

  • I used to live in the Brainerd area and used this crossing often. Dangerous as it may be, I still think it's too cool to see a train use a street like the cars. I'm going to check this spur out again next time I'm in town. Thanks for sharing!

  • Why Would People Put Trains In The Middle Of The Road. Thats 100% DanGerOus. 0:27.

  • glad to see they still use this rail

  • Great RS3K action.

  • i still can't believe those three cars at the beginning racing the train. I'm sure the lights were flashing by the time at least the last one crossed the tracks.

  • Darn near free advertising for Ford! I counted a few Ford trucks in this shot. I hope at some point that i can catch this street running, just not in the area much, maybe I'll luck out sometime

  • Great Video I love the BN. Live in Willmar 30 trains a day. Thanks Great work. Charlie/Melrose
