In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)

pursuing your dreams is is very close to insanity at first--you alone in world can see your vision at first. . .but possibly for years, and decades. . never give up on your dreams.

And we should “cups and ice” our opportunities, **BY**making the most of any opportunity to achieve our dreams

and to clarify the end point, when we are born our first dream we ever had at birth was to be held and loved, and eventually the ultimate dream we commit to, love and family, is the one that will be the gratifying and fulfilling, so there is really no sacrifice between work and family. It's one big, ultimate dream.

And he says that we should keep in mind the ultimate dream of exploring/experiencing the world and having love in our lives, because when we grow up there really is no sacrifice between work and family, it’s just that big, ultimate dream. Hope that helps!!

. And then he tells us that us dreamers will not fail, because we will always have more than one dream as we pursue our dreams. And ultimately, he says, we should remember that our first dream when we were born was to be held, and to have love.

So he says that we should take these ideas and make them happen by committing to them, almost like a marriage, where we stick with them through thick and thin. And we should “cups and ice” our opportunities, but making the most of any opportunity to achieve our dreams, just like Phoebe did in Friends when she was given the job of being in charge of cups and ice at a party and she made the whole party cups and ice because she did so well with such a small thing.

. He talks about termites, about how they are born and they know what they need to do. And he relates it to us dreamers and says that we should trust and follow our inner instincts. And he says that as we pursue them we should think of ourselves like “The Very Hungry Caterpillar,” the caterpillar from the children’s story who “worms” his way through his goals.
