Commencement day began with an academic parade called Duck Walk. Starting at Gerlinger Hall, proceeding down 15th Street to Hayward Field, Duck Walk continued as graduates walked around the track before being seated on the infield. The welcome and opening remarks were made by University President Richard W. Lariviere with the commencement address made by architect & university alum Johnpaul Jones.

  • Congratulations graduates!

  • Wow I'm so glad I didn't go to that.

  • Boring ceremony. They should let the students walk on stage and receive their diploma. I know schools with 30, 000 students that does it that way.
