July 2008 - the video starts with my sister-in-law getting in trouble for trying to touch a turtle despite the dozens of signs saying not to. "No touching! Aloha! Aloha!" It's a favorite memory of the trip. This is at Turtle Beach (Honulani) at Laniakea, Oahu, Hawaii. The baby crawling around is mine. The song is "Tortues" (Turtles) from Saint-Saens' Le Carnaval des Animaux.

  • when used as a command ,its like 'HEY! HELLO!"- to get your attention - thats what was meant.... besides, when "auntie" is yelling ALOHA in THAT tone of voice, you gotta listen braddah

  • Amazing score. Somehow this video has something to say about humanity and man (or baby's) struggle along side the turtle.

Also I've never heard Aloha used as a command.
