In this video, Ron Pereira explain what kaizen is, what it takes to do kaizen, as well as ten guiding principles all continuous improvement practitioners (lean manufacturing and six sigma) should follow.
I worked this program for the last year and it will only work if all are willing to work it correctly. As with most manufacturers they are only willing to go so far until it starts to cost the company money, then the program will be changed to suit their situation. Poor quality control sends workers running around .their area looking for something to do while the problem is corrected. I could go on and on but I'm not getting paid for my advice.
Good video but what is truly sad is this stuff is just common sense and shouldnt be marketed and sold as new and innovative. We used to have a great workforce in the US where people actually knew this stuff. I guess some people just stopped thinking.
it's lucky they didn't use pencils, graphite dust from sharpening them would have played havoc with the electrical systems what with being in space and all. As useful as this video is to me for my class and exams I feel like there's a lot of cliches being kicked around that I don't really understand. When you have a team of doctors working together, anything is possible? Still waiting on that cure for cancer then :/
Good stuff!
