In part 5 of the series, we meet "Cletus the Creationist", and my pet crocoduck! I give some tips on how to keep yourself from falling into the abyss of unresolvable arguments that appeal to theology and not science. I also discuss transitional forms.

A good place to start for phylogenetic trees. REALLY fascinating stuff!

  • The final vanguard of dark age scientific thought. lol!

  • @Zaunstar Yes, they have been writing about it for centuries. Have Christians been saying they are in the "end times" for thousands of years? No they haven't. Although, 2000 years isn't that long in my opinion, especially if you believe the earth is 4.6 billion years old. Apostles wrote about it centuries ago but didn't, however, say that they were in the "end times". "Christians that claim that they can or have predicted when Jesus will come are contradicting the Bible. Don't believe that crap.

  • @GuitarGage870 Christians have been saying we are in the end times for thousands of years. They have been writing about it for centuries, and probably longer if the writings had survived. Everything "happening today" is always the evidence for the signs. Those signs are recycled from generation to generation. You are no different, and we will die of something distinctly non-cosmic, just like they did.

  • @Zaunstar Is it that people are figuring out that the Bible is myth or that the Biblical prophecies are being fulfilled? Biblical prophecies have been fulfilled. I think it is a result of end times, you think it is a result of people figuring out that religion is myth. I believe catholicism contradicts the Bible. And as far as Islam and Buddhism etc., I mean need we even go there? I would say Islam and Catholicism is growing, but true Biblical Christianity is VERY minute.

  • @GuitarGage870 Yes, all religions think their holy book was inspired by their god or gods too, yet you don't believe them, and they don't believe you. You have fallen for your local creation myth, just like they have. It's 2012 and over the past decades, people are figuring out that religion is myth at a faster and faster pace. You may want to really evaluate what you think you know about religion.

  • @Zaunstar Warm fuzzy blanket? That's what you think the Bible is? Dude, get your head out of the toilet. Yes, most religions are created by people. I believe the Bible was written by men under the full inspiration of God. I see lots evidence for what I believe and just because most people believe in evolution doesn't make me want to jump on the band-wagon.

  • @DarkMind95

so your saying that over millions of years that a fish can't grow legs and become a land organism after developing lungs as evolution implies? please, tell me what you believe evolution to be, instead of a genetic change over time?
