Of course we're a religion. We teach that God exists, that he intervenes in our lives via blessings, that we should begin all great endeavors with a prayer, that Heaven is open to all good men, and that studying and participating in Masonry can bring us enlightenment and a closer relationship to God. Any Mason who claims that we're not a religion is either lying, deluded, in deep denial, uninformed, stupid, or all of the preceding.

Freemasonry is a religion. So what?

So let me get this straight, You show the definition of religion right out of the Masons book and it calls itself a religion, and then someone posts that you don't know what you are talking about. Technically, it's not your opinion, it's fact based on their own publication.

@drawdys So do you know anything about this encyclopedia? Do you have one in your lodge? I just want to know for sure this book was really written by Masons. If it was then I'm sorry, you and a lot of other Masons have been mislead. If it wasn't who ever wrote is probably just trying to make the Masons look bad for his own agenda.

@protestantsep Really? Well that just blows everything I've ever been told by actual Masons right out of the water. I have a very good friend who is a Mason and goes to a baptist church and can spout off the bible like a preacher.Where can I get a hold of one f these encyclopedias?
