WW2 RAF Battle of Britian memorial.16 private and military spitfires start up +taxi out, to begin their flight display, duxford airshow 2010.
Battle of Britain RAF, recognises 595 non-British pilots (out of 2,936
145 Polish, 127 New Zealanders, 112 Canadians, 88 Czechoslovaks, 32 Australians, 28 Belgians, 25 South Africans, 13 French, 10 Irish, 7 Americans, and one each from Jamaica, the British Mandate of Palestine and Rhodesia.

  • @Guinnie shame it cant have a similar setup to the mustangs huge canopy +2nd seat...

  • @agwhitaker It's not like someone bought a Spitfire and thought "I'll turn it into a 2-seater", towards the end of the war and after it was the RAF who actually got them to convert spare Mk IXs into trainers
