  • wow, if you went back and watched the video from this series titled "index" you'd understand why he's addressing the viewers as skeptics.

  • I would like to preface this comment by admitting that I am a bearded white guy in his early 30s.

...but you really bring out the fangirl in me.

    *SQUEE!*

    ...see?

My pet cause, if you didn't see before, is critical thinking, confirmation bias and self criticism, and you really seem to be good at it (at very least, better than I think I am most of the time). I'm really enjoying these videos.

  • Don't hope any longer, because you ARE wrong.

  • @lars008 the last statement contradicts the first.

  • eat well excersize,,, die anyway,,,

spend tons of money on idiotic social issues,,, die anyway,,,

Sun remains a main sequence star, continually growing warmer and brighter by ~10% every 1 billion years.

no matter what you do,,, the sun will GET you in the end,,,

unless you LEAVE,,, that is where mankind needs to spend its money,,,

    on LEAVING,,,

  • Your grasp of science has no bearing on your grasp of the complex economics and politics, which demands a black swan event before we even consider change. Any other attempt to tax carbon will simply loot the country's middle class while the rich are exempted. Just look at how much tax GE pays. The rich, and therefore the government, are the ones who give us our energy choices.

  • Thanks Heath.

    Again, with respect.

Please keep in mind, I was about to build my own EV until a few weeks ago.

After the 9000th piece of evidence refuting the current panic, I have totally abandoned the whole deal.

  • @AshtonPhoto

Your motivation for being skeptical is completely reasonable, and for the record, I don't think you're a closed-minded fool. I have one final point however-who was the "They" that warned of a new Ice Age? The media is notorious for exaggeration, after all. Plus, the warnings aren't mutually exclusive-that's why Climate change is a better term, since higher temperatures aren't a problem in and of themselves. I believe I've had my say. That's all.

  • @IAMHEATHLEDGERZ

    Oh. Him. right.

    Anyway.

With respect, my whole objection is not that he has his opinion and acts on that opinion.

It is this: This chap and others like him have made environmentalism the only acceptable way of thinking.

If you don't believe in global warming you are a closed-minded fool.

When I was in school they said another ice age was coming. Now it's the EXACT OPPOSITE ! !

Forgive me for my skepticism, but I won't be bullied into going with the herd, not again.
