Hoover Office Machine Cleaner and Bissell Powerforce Bagless

Ok I will tell you about the hoover I bought it at the same flea market booth as the Handivac. The office machine cleaner is actually a Hoover Portapower except that it is a commercial vacuum and it has a different color scheme but I like the maroon color

I have the same Bissell, and it's a bitch to maintain. Gotta disassemble the filters, wash them, then let the thick, pleated filter dry for 3 days before reassembly. Gotta do this about every 10 uses, or it loses suction.

After 8 months, I'm ready to go back to a "bagged" vacuum. Change the bag and you're good to go. I'm a single guy and can't believe the ridiculous maintenance on this model -- how the hell would busy parents have time for this?

I dislike the Bissell Powerforce because it sounds akin to an electric woodworking router, in which its motor spins in the neighborhood of 20,000 to 30,000 rpm.

lol I have a bissell and it sounds that way only when i have it on the low setting otherwise its fine. was your on the low setting?
