Now I don't know if I'm mistaken but I had just viewed a video before this on how to solder and it said not to touch the solder again after you've put a few drops on the tip and that you're suppose to hold the iron on the metal and let it heat that up then drip the solder onto the metal. Correct me if I'm wrong?

@coolboarder44 y r u and the lady in the video going on about electric solering irons, if you were going to do this kind of thing seriously, professionally even, then an electric soldering iron is a bit of a noddy tool. to do it properly u should be using at least an iron running off a calor gas bottle, so u can customize the tip, file it to precision, plus electric irons dont have any way to regulate the heat, for a passing hobby i guess electric iron is ok though

Nooooo!!! Did you dip the soldering tip into the flux?? Puts a lot of stress on the iron from the temperature "shock." Nice flower though! In my class we're doing projects about 1/6th the size of yours and now I can appreciate how much work it must take for you to do something that size!

@csnomore This was simple shot for the friend of ours to see the progress of the window being made that was entered into savannahwindow at .blogspot dot com blog. It wasn't intended as a super produced instruction video. My wife does this for a hobby, not a business. We're amazed at its popularity along with the other videos. For the handful of neh sayers many people have enjoyed these videos.
