@jupitermoon10011 Aye, and Americans are patronising and annoying too with god-awful accents. Your comment is so full of dogma, it's unreal.

the moors are a great place i don't know why but i always feel the moors are beautiful, they just look baron and empty because we cut down all the trees there and none grow there anymore because the sheep eat them before they get too big.

@stuartmoss Everywhere, just about. Granted, I have seen some beautiful landscapes and some beautiful, sunny days... it just seems that it's cloudy and awful lot.
Saddleworth moor is like the landscape spoken of in wuthering heights, or anything else reminiscent of the ancient pennine district of the Great North..In the rain, in the sun in its morose, bleak majestic beauty, you offend it in your ignorance.. Rather that than plastic consumerist America and all it's empty promises..Give me buckle toothed, grimy England with it's depressing Smiths songs anyday..at least they reflect life..not a fake, plastic nightmare...

Something about England just spooks me...pasty, pale skinned, grumpy people, weather always cloudy and dark, depressing council housing, scary wildneress like these moors...it sends shivers down my spine. At least most Americans are happy smiley, suntanned with straight, white teeth!

Other than that incident are moors typically dangerous places? I wouldn't know because I'm from the U.S. I just thought it was interesting reading about it.

The most dangerous thing about the Moors is getting lost on them, particularly in Winter, but the moors Murders were thankfully a one-off.
