It was listed as a national historic relic in 2005, making it Kaoshiung Citys first national industrial relic because it has the Hoffman kiln, down draft kiln, tunnel kiln and the red brick business office,
a total of 9 rarely seen national historic relics.
Tang Rong brick kiln is a witness to the rapid growth of Taiwans economy in the 1950s and 60s.
