Early oil pioneers used nitroglycerin to fracture underground rock and increase production in their wells. It was dangerous, dramatic, and very successful. Drake Well Museum uses pyrotechnic explosions, oil history, humor, and a black powder "shoot out" to tell the stories about petroleum technology, illegal nitro production, and patent infringement for audiences of all ages.
