If you're a fan of the Beverly Hillbillies, you'll love this.
Between the two videos, you'll see rare views (in both photos and movie clips) of the Kirkeby Mansion.
The Kirkeby Mansion is the home that was used as an exterior on the Beverly Hillbillies.
Here are views of the grounds, the real cement pond, the exterior and the interior.
This house is NOT really located in Beverly Hills, it is actually in Bel Air.
Be sure to watch both parts 1 and 2.
Info that I received from crestlion39@hotmail.com... I tried to post this on your youtube page, but it wouldn't accept it. Thought that your suscribers would be interested ...

The lowest floor included a card room , a billiard room , a silver vault , a fur vault , and a twenty-by-forty foot ballroom. The ballroom featured a maple floor, marble and mirrored walls , a marble fireplace , and a raised orchestra platform. A projection room in back of the orchestra platform allowed the ballroom to double as a screening room
Gold plating was used exclusively on the doorknobs , built-in mirror frames , ceilings, organ grilles , and bathroom fixtures
A wood paneled elevator travels from the second floor all the way down to two tunnels 175- and 225-feet long one lead to an outdoor sitting area , and the other to the exquisite pool area
The house was built by Mr. Atkinson as a surprise for his wife , Bernice. He planned a surprise party to introduce her to their new home a grand affair with the house brightly lit and filled with fashionably dressed guests. But after strolling through the main floor , Bernice whispered to her husband Who would ever live in a house like this? Its so grandiose. Atkinson was dismayed , and replied , Well then , lets go. We dont have to stay at this party. And they left.
The mansion sat empty until 1945. Atkinson sold the estate to hotel magnate Arnold Kirkeby for $200,000
Kirkeby was killed in an airplane crash in 1962. His wife , Carlotta , maintained ownership until the house was offered for sale in 1986 for $27,000,000. In 1987 producer Jerry Perenchio purchased the estate for $13,500,000.
Perenchio , thereafter , purchased four additional adjacent estates , including a Wallace Neff-designed mansion that became a guesthouse. In the nineties , the esteemed French decorator Henri Samuel was retained to oversee a $9,000,000 restyling of the mansion. In addition to refurbishing the interior , changes included a new roof and chimneys , a new terrace , a new swimming pool and cabana , a new tennis court , a helipad , and underground parking for 30 cars. Reconfiguration of the original iron-gated entrance gave way to a new , longer main driveway. The sizeable acreage of the enlarged estate includes new gardens , fountains , and impeccable landscaping that retains the original dichondra front lawn and square-trimmed carob trees of the original estate
Enjoy.
Wasn't the home originally owned by a famous actor?

@49bobbyk No, it was said on the show that it was built by a Barrymore but that wasn't the case in real life.
