@radkerson lol...Research aquascaping? Maybe you should research large American cichlids. The type I keep would just destroy plants all day long.

to say I'm jealous would be an understatement...but best of all I've been inspired...awesome tank!

@greenterra thats such a relief cuz i was starting to stress but by what do you mean by cured?
-
@TheBiggybig Not sure where you are getting that info from but I can tell you those sources should do a little more homework. 100% solids Epoxy resins are not toxic at all once cured. They are not even water soluble.
-
@greenterra are your fish doing ok or has the epoxy effected them at all because everyone is telling me that epoxy is toxic to fish

@TheBiggybig Ply sheets @ $69 ea(Got these for a steal) = $276. Screws were free as I have plenty of these laying around. Builders bog = $39 30m x 1m of woven roving mat(Fiberglass reinforcement) = $260. 18L Boat Cote Epoxy = $340. Black epoxy pigment = $12.73. Epoxy solvent for clean up = $20. Silicone x 8 tubes= $67. Polycarbonate for lids = $60. Plumbing and lid hold down pipes = $90. 36 x Besser blocks for stand = $115. Total = $1279.73 + $1400 for 19mm glass delivered .

i understand that you droped 1400 on glass but what was the other 1300 spent on?
-
@altops The front glass made up for the majority of cost for this build and using it on the sides would have increased the costs too much. It would have also decreased the insulation capabilities of the tank, plus the sides are not really visible where it is located.
-
why no side glass? you could have...
Is the glass tempered? great tank
