Carter was born at 29w 3d. Here he is about 5 days old and is getting blood drawn. It's a bit hard to watch, but keep in mind that he had blood drawn daily for the first couple of weeks, and then twice a week for the next 6 weeks he was there. These tiny babies really go through a lot in order to survive! He weighed around 1 lb 12 oz here.

They have to draw blood so often dumbass to monitor certain levels that fluctuate constantly, such as glucose. It's extremely important to keep a close watch on these things.

WHy in the hell do they have to draw so much blood from
such a tiny baby? What do they think he is going to do?
I think that is cruel and maybe even unnecessary?!
