I think the drummers Latin-based ideas were really good, and would probably be very fun to play with. Unfortunately, like one person before me: he tends to rush his phrasing. The other thing would be it just sounds like he's trying to do too much. And the busier things get, the less likely they are to pocket properly.
Having said that, the trio sounds like a good trio, and they sound like they'd put on a good show.

Geez! There are too many idiotic comments on here about the drumming and how it's supposedly too loud. The guy has tremendous talent and the entire trio sounds outstanding! Keep up the great work, guys!

Very nice. Good keytar work on the other vids. I think my guitar teacher actually invented the keytar. :)

We're just learning this in Jazz Ensemble. Say what you want, but this is a tough piece. I think these guys did a great job.

don't you just love it when everyone has an opinion? I've played this song like a million times because it's a supercool peace of music, but don't expect any musician to play it as superb as Chick Corea and return to forever did. I think these guys deserve a little bit more respect, because it's just pretty heavy shit to play. Please keep your narrow minded frustrated opinions to yourself and let them play. Jazz police: f*ck off!!!

the drummer has only some funk breaks instead of jazz ones and i think it sounds really great

Wtf about the bad comments here? This song is normaly played by the best musicians of the world and they still managed to make it pretty darn good. It's not the drummers fault if the audio mix is awfull. In a trio setting the guy did what he needed to do. Grats to these guys!
