I haven't had surgery. I totally changed my eating habits and lost 50 pounds in maybe a little over a year. My doctor was very happy with the gradual rate at which I was losing.
Then T2 diabetes suddenly kicked in and it's been a struggle to balance diet, blood sugar, and medication since then. So far, I've only had to take the tablets (metformin 500 mg) but they've had to increase it to 3 times daily and I suspect they'll increase it again after my next bloodwork.
