I just went thru the same basic problem. My problem was i ordered a new HP laptop to replace my old one. The sales guy recommended changing model #, so i did and the computer was BRONZE, , no problem it was a great computer, except you cant SEE the leters on the keys unless you are right over it , THere customer service SUCKS i was on the phone 4 different times and finally gave up and sent all the stuff back to them,, DONT BUT A HP BRONZE ,un less you dont need to look at keys

so why didnt you just purchase this item from a retail store, and do some research on your own to make sure you got what you wanted???

Actually you talked to some of few remaining HP employees. They claim it is 150000 when 140000 olf them are employed in far-from-civilized conditions in poor faraway countries, and accounted working in each and every US electronics company (think apple-foxconn)...

I was transferred to the Bill Me Later department for HP. And right away they try to sell me into buying store coupons I said no and the guy hung up on me. WTF? I was only trying to buy a $1600 touchsmart

Whats the song called?

but i would have to say i agree with India not having a clue. It gets very frustrating, being a tech support agent, and having to deal with THEIR fuck ups.

@kcchiefskevin I work for HP Tech Support and I can assure you its not that HP has no customer service centers in the us, its the fact that tech support is not done by hp. Allow me to explain. We work for hp but get paid by a different company. The building I go to everyday is not called HP. So technically when you call , your jumping into a giant pool of buildings and could go anywhere. There just happens to be more of them overseas, which is unfortunate. Oh and Im not from the us. Go Canada

I don't know what you guys are talking about. Twice I had to call HP to fix my laptop, and twice I got a man with an American accent. It took me all of 15 minutes to call them and order a new charger last week.

HP customer support does suck, i had a laptop and it wasnt in warrinty and it tells you to go to the website on the phone. Also trying to get a courier out is a pain because you got to that on the website as well and i enter my product and serial number and hey presto it doesn't reconise it.
I want this laptop repaired and they're just telling me to buy another one, yeah because i really want another laptop taking up more space.
Sure sign of quality service right there...

I'm into my first year of support problems so I guess that makes me a newbie. I also won't ever buy HP again due to support problems but actually it was the product that failed so far in 3 ways. I bought a Presario laptop with 3 year international warranty. The screen played up, then the mother board. Had them replaced and I still have problems. Warranty still active but they insist I return it to the country I purchased it from. Again. GREAT. Good product-Not. Good service-Not!
Odd how if hp is that bad yet boasts that kind of profits. Curious must be the other people haven't had issues. Odd how that is *Sarcasm*

Like stated, there is nothing with the product, just the service. I have purchased from HP for years and never had a problem.

Upon completion of this video, I did receive a call from their escalation team, a supervisor actually. This was after sending numerous emails to HP's CEO. She informed me she was in the U.S. I received the same response from her but with actual empathy. She told me she would pass my information along to try and get it worked out and I still haven't heard from them. I was not told by anyone that there is/was a customer service number for the U.S. They don't give that out freely obviously.
