Far from it. I stick by them as my absolute favorite, despite their terrible reputation among the "trueblooders".
Slipknot did something new with metal, just like COB and IF. Wintersun didn't really do something new, however, their song "Death And The Healing" will always be considered among my favourite melodies.
I respect your opinion, and expect you to show more respect to other metal bands from here. If you're gonna hate something, hate not your own. Hate your enemies.

First I heard Full Moon by Sonata Arctica at age 8. They quickly became the only music I listened to, alongside Hammerfall. Then a lot of Nightwish, Human Fortress and lot of AC/DC, leading me to start playing guitar at age 10.
Then I got into all sorts of awesome music, but sticking to my old faves. Some Evanescence.
COF got me into growling, which got me into Slipknot, which are now my favourite. Then I got into IF and then Bodom and lately DT and Insomnium. 1: Slipknot. 2: IF. 3. NW. 4. COB

@coolage101 I tried to fit in with the cool skaterkids and listened to blink 182 haha. then figuring they were all a bunch of dbags i said fuckit and went back to zeppelin and lost my way came across maiden and bamf bodom has been my favorite for the last like 6 or 7 years like the living dead they'll never die
