Jonathan Williams delivers one of the most moving BHH I've seen in ages... *and* he only went on in the second act due to Simon Bowman being ill. What a pro!

  • @wongmonfong JVJ after Alfie is Ramin Karimloo, which should be interesting my opinion, this guy is good but this song is too similar amongst Valjeans (Bowman, Sarich, This guy), they need to put their own edge on it more and not make it sound boyish, which what a lot of them do.

  • Saw him today. He was absolutely fantastic, he made me cry. His voice is filled with passion and a beautiful softness.Met him after the show and he was really approachable. He totally convinced me.

  • He covered for Alfie Boe in a recent performance i went to see. Absolutely incredible singer.

  • God is that beautiful. His voice has a great mix of raw and lyrical....amazing quality.

  • @101moviegod he is staying on and him and Alfie Boe are sharing the role of Jean Valjean. Alfie is only doing evening shows i think, (not announced that ive seen yet) which means Jonny gets to do both matinees every week. I think this is what is happening anyway. Plus Alfie is only there til Dec 2011, so i assume Jonny gets JVJ full time after that! hopefully anyway!

  • Alfie boe takes over from Simon bowman June next year, I doubt Jonathan Williams will sty on until alfie has finished his run... So it's sad to say that Jonathan will not play Jean Valjean full time... Well not for now anyway :(

  • I saw him as ValJean last week, I didnt know he was an understudy till I saw it in the programme, I was like OMG WTF WHY IS HE THE UNDERSTUDY !!!!!!!!
