My dad has motor neurone disease, and is currently struggling with every aspect of the disease, from not being able to walk, stand, he isnt able to eat properly due to losing his swallowing function, he is on oxygen, a vast amount of medication, he has pressure sores, and is now losing the function of his arms. And him dying does scare him, let me tell you. Especially knowing his suffering will only get worse. So dont tell me it isnt like this, because it is for most poeple with MND in the end!
My father has now passed away from this disease. He was diagnosed for only 6 months before losing his very difficult battle. And still little is done about this terrible killer. My Dad was the best, never had a bad bone in his body, and didnt deserve to go in such a terrible way, and only at the age of 62. His last 6 months of life were degrading, harder work than you can ever imagine for him, and knowing he wasnt getting better, only worse made it harder. This stole my Dad.
