Hello Chris, what picks are you using? I like your playing and sound, we can see you are talented eventhough you practiced a lot and this technic is a huge part of your sound. Nevertheless I think that you should sometimes think more in a story/melodic way and you'll get the best out of you, just my opinion.

I also wanted to say that maybe if you think more of a melodical/story way instead of technical I think you will get the best out of you...nothing personnal and i am a lot worst than you so just my opinion if you wanna take it.

@chrisbrooksmusic Sure I noticed the "teaching" here lol...after seeing your songs, I wanted to share this (I had the same comment and I had to "rethink" my way of doing music and it did help me to push further): I had a feeling sometime, that maybe it comes from realesing a song that you are not 100000% satisfied with? (maybe I am wrong) But I can feel your composing shape instead of "the song", so focusing more about an emotion and/or a story to tell and then apply your skills?

@roccckkerrr No, I was seriously into alternate picking from the beginning but after I had an injury in my picking arm I worked on legato and liked it so much I kept doing it.
