  • hi, what is the material on the texas longhorn color fabric(a finished sample played in this video?? its like a ruffled or soemthing

  • @deenadsalas That fabric was purchased at Joann Fabrics years ago. I am sure it isn't available anymore.

  • Is OSB the same as MDF? and at what thickness? What thickness is the foam?

  • @texaseuchre OSB is not the same as MDF, any home improvement store will carry it. We use 7/16" OSB. The foam we use is 1/2" thick.

  • you should also bevel the lower edge, either with a router of a plane

  • as for padding you should skip the foam. place a layer of half inch dacron about 3 to 4 inches in from the edge, then another layer over that. much nicer product in the end, and will not age like foam. any use of foam on a window tratment is a no go.

  • ooh okay thanks so much! I love your helpful videos! is there a name for that type of fabric, i couldnt think of anything but "ruffled" lol

  • Great overview on cornice making! Thanks for the tips!
