In April 2005, Troop F of the 278th Armored Cavalry Regiment, Tennessee National Guard, patrols western Baghdad, where the threat of roadside bombs is ever-present. The soldiers stop in a talk to the locals, who tell the soldiers that one of the houses in the neighborhood has been abandoned by owners afraid of the violence. The Tennessee soldiers investigate. Video is by freelance reporter Doug Grindle. See more episodes of War Diary with Doug Grindle on this station.
