oh wow, I don't remember the name of the mall, but there is a large strip of stores that cut right through the center of town, many blocks long, and this was in the middle of it. sorry I don't have more info. If you know or go to Kyoto, this mall is very popular and easily found. If I remember correctly, it began not far from Gion.
