I have been searching for this song for over 10 years. Seems few people have heard it, but it's one that can get me started on the worst of days. Thanks so much for allowing me to finally hear it again. GREAT!!!

I've also had this song on my mind on and off for over 20 years since growing up on KIKK out of Houston! Never remembered the artist...glad to hear it again after so long! A sweet country/zydeco sounding hit!

@unluckylady83 Nobody else had a hit with this song, there may be others who have recorded the song but Bobby Bare is the only artist that had any kind of significant airplay on the radio.

Nobody where I lived (in NoCal) thought much of this song that I could detect but I fell in love with this tune from the very first time I heard it.
Why it didn't crack the top ten I'll never know.

Hey wilburscott, I heard this song in my part of the country (Southern Indiana). I loved this song from the first time I heard it. I really thought it was Don Williams that sung the version I use to listen to. Have you hear that one?
