The lighting on this thing sucks!!! Sound seems good though

Great sound on this Q3 of yours. I also am planning to get one...

One thing about the lighting thing, I read from another forum, that this was like a common thing when you get a new Q3. All he did was download the latest SW update on his Q3, then the lighting issue was corrected.

@inot1105 I have heard that as well, but with mixed results. Some said it didn't really resolve the problem. I just use flood lights now, and it helps. Thanks...

@animeLo This thing was brand new to me (Q3) and I was merely trying to explain what it was I was doing and using. If you don't have an extra 1 minute in your life, then you're too impatient. Anywho! I love the sound quality! and the fact it adapts to the different sounds around it is a plus... I'm sold! Thanks for sharing! ^^

@arnebarnard this was shot in standard definition. the zoom q3 can't shoot hi-def video. you have to upgrade to the zoom q3hd to do that.

@jonguitarist yes it did. ill tell u why... I own the Q3 handy video recorder also and it has 3 mic gain settings on it. Low, High, and auto. When you have it on auto, it will change the pic up. As hes talking, it gets used to the low amount of sound, so the gain hets higher so it picks him up better. With the sudden loud noise, it causes the gain to go low so its not so loud and crappy sounding. It also takes a while for the gain to get used to the low sound again. I have one, sounds amazing!

there is an annoying sympathetic noise that one of your toms is picking up from the snare drum. a humming sound when you hit the snare. it is coming from one of your toms.

ther is a button in the Q3 the you can do L or S or Auto

so if you do Auto when ther is to loud volume of samthing its just get auto to S
