What causes a low break?
-
were they using flares to light the fireworks
-
@x313baby1 Its been awhile, But have you found out what kind it is yet? =)
-
@Bbfishman there are generally two reasons a shell breaks low. Either the lift charge was lite or the shell didn't make it to the bottom of the tube then you go to fuse possibilities could be a combination of things.

low breaks are generally caused by a lite lift charge or the shell not being at the bottom of the tube

fuck yea!!!!! beautiful!!!
-
what caused the low break at 3:11? quick fuse? spark jumped and lit the fuse too high up? faulty firework?
-
They sure didn't have much protective gear on. Should at very least have plastic face shield on if nothing else.

Why hand fire anymore? That low break looked deadly. Such a shame no one wants to justify the 5k for some 6in/8in shells in the local shows. Good thing my town still has a good amount of 8 in shells but we are a fairly large town.
I'm trying to work for Jersey State Fireworks, but it seems like they're pretty well staffed. I always head out to Red Bank for their show on the 3rd. Beautiful stuff.
Thanks for all the vids!
