@BritishRoyalFilms and all other kings weren't dictators before the glorious revolution? Don't know how strong the Sweedish army was at the time, I know that the Swiss were capable mercinaries, but I think he's refering to the modern(ish) for those times of the new model army's organisation, discipline and as he says promotion on merit not birth, like Napoleons

To say that the english army at this time was the most feared in Europe is a bit much to be honest..The navy was strong but surely the army wasnt stronger than say the Swedish one..

I HATE Oliver Cromwell! He preached equality and himself was a dictator! Thank God for the Monarchy.
