People didn't even know smoking was harmful until the 50s. That's when they started to realize it was effecting their health poorly.

@Graylikeamonster Sure lots of kids are cute but can they act and dance at the calibur. Most adults can't even reach her level the way she captivates the audience is just amazing.

I ment to say here..That I'm not fond of Sen.Murphy
Smoking that damn cigarette at the start of his number...
this is what lead to the cancer that killed him many years
later.

Well, you have to remember that nobody knew it was harmful in his day. Shirley was a smoker as well. It was just a social thing.
