In this documentary video clip, you will see parrots (Grays, Makaws, etc.) eating mineral rich clays off a cliff. Also, see a clip of elephants drinking water, digging pits, presumably to unleash minerals and salts deposits which can mix with thier bathing and drinking water. This is also a scene of butterflies drinking ground water in these mineral/salt depoist bedded water pools. And another scene of parrots grazing on the leaves of plants surrounding these mineral/salt rich deposits. Presumably in all instances these animals and insects are doing so to either supplement their diet with these minerals and/or to neutralize toxic substances in the seeds or other plants they are eating such as seed and nuts. Presumably they may be using the minerals to alkanize thier bodies as well.

  • Very interesting...looks like these animals instinctively know something we don't- we, with all our sophisticated knowledge, have learned how to wound the Earth and these primitive animals have learned instead, how to use the Earth to heal and sustain themselves. We should study them well!
