@DarthMufin you do not want to melee the flood, you'll do more harm than good. IMO, the best strategy is to use the pistol to pick em off at long range and shotgun at close range. In the Library levels, you want to kill off the human flood first since they have shotguns and RPGs, and exchange your pistol for the RPG and use the RPG as necessary along with both frag and plasma grenades

@Randomdude1211 use the assult rifle the little screen on it tells how much ammo u have in the mag, above that tells you the way with a little arrow

@DarthMufin If I needed to be worried about my ammo I would have, but so many weapons lying around, hard to be short on ammo.
