Are you unable to say "no" to others who interpret your politeness or indifference as a "yes"? Do you find it difficult to confront others who are behaving unprofessionally or aggressively? Or perhaps, are in a different category: Do your colleagues cower in your presence and forego your encouragement to "come talk to me; my door's open." In this highly participative session, we will examine how we communicate—particularly in challenging situations—and why. We will discuss and practice ways to communicate assertively, that is, saying what you mean, and meaning what you say.
