Also the Sony HX1 takes pretty good pictures but IMP not as good as the Canon twins or the Panny...Especially since the Sony HX1 has a pretty hefty price

The Canon SX1 and SX10 IS take great photos, as does the Panasonic FZ28...Personally I think these 3 take much better pictures than the P90 from what I have seen

eek, clean your knife before its glamor shots ;) xD hehehe
vnvalligator 3 years ago
Hi vnvalligator,
Nah, a clean knife wasn't important to me for these shots, hehe. Besides, these were just test shots and the stuff you see on the knife blade is sticky residue from tape on shipping boxes that I cut open.

i am considering buying this camera but i have heard that the image quality is pretty bad(cromatic aberation, purple fringing, high noise)...is this true??
also i heard that when handheld at 20X zoom its image stabilization is not enough and the pictures come out blurry??
thank you
please answer
spartanwarrior217 3 years ago
Hi spartanwarrior217,
I really haven't had any problems with cromatic aberration or purple fringing that I know of. As far as noise.. the more you raise the ISO the more noise, but I don't think it's really that bad. I shot the photos in this video at ISO 80. I think if you shoot at ISO 200 and below you'll be fine. Even ISO 400 isn't all that bad.
Most of the photos shot in this video were shot at 20X and the IS worked fine and the photos came out really nice.
Take care,
