What, that is not what I meant at all. We have less English Vocaloids, so we have only one of each voice type – not like the Japanese, where you have several of similar voice types. However, no two Vocaloid is the same. To a listener, it may seem so; but they are all different to work with. In pronunciation and accent they also vary. If you don't speak the native language of the Vocaloid, of course you cannot tell this. Not that it matters to me, so long as they sound do justice to the music.

ugh, u know what i mean. the girl vocaloids sound like each other and the guy vocaloids all sound like each other (with the exception of len and oliver lol) they all basically have the same range and tone in their voices. but the newer one do sound more like humans...

No, some Vocaloids were specially designed for certain genres. For example Prima is specifically made for opera. Most Vocaloids have a some recommended genres.
