Well, the opening is accompanied by a syncopated dance in the orchestra, and the second part after the recit. is labeled "Allegro" and is in cut time, so I suspect the ideology is Bach's! I see you favor modern instrument performances of baroque music so that is probably the perspective you're coming from. Harnoncourt was subjected to much the same angry reaction by some years ago, so that's nothing new!

"Mit Fried und Freud ich fahr dahin" is perverted in
"Mit Hast und Leid ich ras' dahin" by Harnoncourt. This choral talks about peace and joy, gentleness, calm and death not about a formula 1 race in imola.
This desastrous ideology is a blasphemy.

Completely destroyed by this desastrous ideology. I am sad if I have to hear what they do and what they have done to the music in the name of this ideology. Whenever ideology takes over the spirit leaves the stage thru the back exit.
