Slight risk of being decapitated when you try to get out.Conventional contra-rotating rotor helicopters with a vertical axis such as the Kamov ka-25 make a lot more sense...eliminating the need for a tail rotor without the need to crawl under the blades.

6 years ago , i buid a kite autogiro with syncro rotors , it flyed with a very strong wind ( very dangerous for me ) , but my others kite autogiros ( cerf volant autogire ) fly better.

what are you talking about synchronized rotors not being popular, the ch-47 is probably THE single most popular heavy lift..... synchronized rotor systems imagine that. and no shit they can lift a lot twice the rotors means twice the blade lifting surface, as long as you have twice the power, you can lift twice the load. nothing magic about it, just physics

Dick and CArlo DeGraw have many more aircraft designs to their credit. They both fly them and both just flew into the 2008 PRA convention in jump takeoff gyroplanes they built.
Some of you need to push away the keyboards, educate yourselves and make something unique and creative. Your life will be better for it.

WOW ! 90% of you posters don't have a clue.
This helo has been flying for 20 years. It is never trailered and has to Oshkosh and many PRA conventions. Kaman (K MAX) corp has been building intermeshing rotor helicopters for decades. I did not take the film, a deceased friend of mine did (emphysema... don't smoke)I'm sorry he didn't get the ship at pattern altitude. I have seen this wonder fly many times. It lacks nothing.
